Helping Our Community

Volunteers from Capitol Financial Solutions stepped out of the office to get further involved and give back to their community. Employees spent the afternoon volunteering at the Raleigh Learning Gardens of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, creating raised garden beds for vegetables. A lot of hard work, but a very rewarding experience. The Learning Gardens of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle provides hands-on educational programming both in schools and at our community gardens; Camden Street Learning Garden in southeast Raleigh off Davie and Camden Street and Geer Street Community Garden in Durham. They pair educational programming with our hunger relief efforts because often there is a correlation between limited access to fresh produce and low ability to use fresh food to prepare meals. The programs feed, teach & grow to connect families to nutritious  food and develop skills for self-sufficiency -- breaking the cycle of hunger.
